After a seven-year career in communications and nonprofit management, Amy Buringrud founded Media Savvy Communications, a public relations and marketing company that works primarily with cause organizations. Before founding her own company, Ms. Buringrud worked for a number of organizations including Plazm Media Cooperative, Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, and Pacific Crest Outward Bound. In 2004, Ms. Buringrud created the Media Savvy eJournal, an online publication tailored to the communications needs of cause organizations and socially responsible businesses.
